Talks between First TransPennine Express and train drivers union ASLEF have today, Friday 26th August, ended.
The union have agreed to consult their members on a proposal of a 5% settlement starting from today.
Vernon Barker, FTPE Managing Director, said;
"We are pleased that through dialogue and discussion we have been able to get to a position where the ASLEF negotiating team believe they can now recommend a deal to their membership."
Therefore all industrial action will be suspended whilst ASLEF ballot their members with a recommendation to accept.
FTPE will be running its normal and full timetable.
