A local train company is giving passengers that little bit of extra help over the festive period.
First TransPennine Express (FTPE) has relaxed all ticket restrictions and is giving customers the opportunity to upgrade to First Class.
FTPE is today announcing that from Christmas Eve until the end of service on Monday 2ndJanuary 2012 that, peak restrictions on journeys, priced by FTPE will be lifted.
The following tickets will therefore be valid all day;
- Off Peak Day Singles
- Off Peak Day Returns
- Off Peak Singles
- Off Peak Returns
This lifting of restrictions excludes Advance Purchase tickets.
In addition, FTPE is extending its Weekend First offer, thereby giving customers the opportunity to upgrade their ticket to First Class for an additional £6.00, or £10.00 for FTPE services to and from Scotland.
Customers can take advantage of this upgrade from Tuesday 27th December until the end of service on Bank Holiday Monday (2nd January 2012). The offer is available on board the train only.
FTPE will be operating a reduced service on Christmas Eve and no trains will operate on either Christmas Day or Boxing Day.
