First TransPennine Express (FTPE) would like to inspire people to make a positive improvement to their community and improve their local environment. The FTPE Community Environmental Bursaries are available for environmental improvements for the benefit of the community.
If you have an idea or project that is a physical environmental improvement and will have a long term visible effect, then the FTPE Community Environmental Bursary is for you.
We could help to Improve the natural environment where you live, for example, creating community gardens, planting trees, shrubs and flowers, vegetable gardens etc.
We could help to put the pride back into your local community, for example, park makeovers, restoring paths, graffiti removal all involving the local community's help.
Projects must be in close proximity to FTPE stations and line of route.
Bursaries are available up to a maximum value of £2,000, but you do not need to apply for the full amount, just what you actually require for the project.
The applications will be judged by a panel of FTPE employees, including a Director, a Local Environment Champion and the FTPE Environmental Manager.
