Terms and Conditions
Fares advertised are correct at the time of
publication and are based on Airport Advance standard single fares
to Manchester Airport. Subject to availability, only valid on FTPE
services, buy in advance to avoid disappointment. Only valid on
date and service stated on ticket. No refunds available.
Mobile app/Mtickets
Texts are charged at the standard rate. Terms
and conditions apply. Mobile tickets are only available on TPE
services to Manchester Airport, when purchasing Airport Advance
tickets through the TPE mobile app. Other ticket options are
available at train stations and tpexpress.co.uk.
Changes to travel plans.
Changes to time or date of travel must be
arranged before departure of the first reserved train printed on
the ticket, after which the ticket has no value and a new one must
be purchased. Customers will need to present the ticket(s) and
reservation(s) when they request a change. The origin, destination
and Train Company or route shown on the ticket(s) must remain the
same. The difference between the price paid and cost of the next
suitable fare for the journey is payable, plus a £10 administration
fee per person, per single ticket for each change to a journey. If
customers change to a train on which a cheaper fare is available,
the difference will not be refunded.
Reservations
Strict control arrangements apply and (free)
seat reservations must be obtained for the throughout journey
(where applicable) before the tickets are issued.
Easements
Tickets are train specific; however to
accommodate inbound flight delays, journeys from John Lennon &
Manchester Airports can be made on the next available TransPennine
Express service up to 3 hours after the departure time stated on
the ticket. Where no services depart within this time, the next TPE
service may be used. Passengers wishing to use this concession must
have their tickets endorsed at the Ticket Office before boarding
the train. This is the only difference to other Advance
tickets.
