My Hull by Nick Barmby
The ex-England and Liverpool footballer now plying his trade with Hill picks his favourite city spots...
The KC stadium
'It's not just because we play there, either - there's also Hull
FC rugby league side. It's just a real focal point of the city and
it's been like that ever since it's been built. It's helped put
football on the map. There's always a brilliant atmosphere at the
stadium and with all the black and amber, it's also a colourful
place to play!'

The Humber Bridge
'Whenever we come to this spectacular bridge after an away game,
it's like you're back from your holidays. You know you're
home.'

The Big Coffee
'A few of the lads from the club like to go down here and chill
out when they aren't training. It's nice to
be able to sit down and get some privacy. I do like a cappuccino,
I'm not really a straight coffee kind of guy.'

The Deep
'This is one of my favourite attractions, we've got kids and
they love this place. It's only been around for a few years and is
a massive aquarium with lots of sharks. The restaurant's good,
too.'

Boothferry Park
'This is our old ground. There's a train track right behind it
that I go past on my way to the KC. It's a nice reminder of the
past.'

Medici
'We've known the owner of this restaurant for years and even
when we lived away from Hull, we'd come back to eat here. It's
good, solid traditional Italian food - great fish and pasta.'
