Six steps to Blackpool
Blackpool is loud, proud and larger than life. Here are six reasons why it's still one of England's most popular seaside resorts.
1. Grundy Art Gallery
Opened in 1911, this striking building in the heart of the town
hosts a variety of contemporary visual art exhibitions. Most of the
work on display tends to relate in some way to the location and
history of Blackpool.

2. The Great Promenade Show
A promenade show with a difference. Marvel at ten outrageous
installations inspired by Blackpool's natural and man-made
attractions - from a giant glitter ball to a sea-water-powered
musical organ - all located on a two-kilometre stretch along the
South Promenade.

3. Blackpool Tower
There are some things that can't be missed when visiting
Blackpool and one of them is a trip to the Tower. Take the heritage
trail tour to discover the history of this most iconic landmark and
finish with a scrumptious cream tea in the Ballroom.

4. Infusion
One of the star rides at Blackpool Pleasure Beach, Infusion
combines five loops and a double-line twist - plus there's the
added thrill of cascading walls of water. Not that you'll see them,
because your eyes will be pressed tightly shut! Do you dare to go
for a ride?

5. Grand Theatre
For evening entertainment, this beautiful Grade II-listed
Victorian theatre always delivers. From spectacular musicals to
stand-up comedy, Britain's 'National Theatre of Variety' works hard
to provide something for everyone.

6. The North Pier
Opened in 1863, the North Pier is the longest and oldest pier in
the resort and arguably offers the best views of Blackpool. Marvel
at its architectural splendour as you enjoy a drink in the Carousel
Bar, or relax in style in the open-air Victorian sun lounge.
