Why Blackpool?
Blackpool's flat golden sands stretch for seven miles in total and there's plenty to keep you occupied. Leisurely wander the salt-soaked planks of the Victorian piers, scream at the top of your lungs from a whooshing rollercoaster or sit back and take it all in from one of the historic Blackpool trams. The Blackpool Illuminations light show extends tourist season into the autumn months. While many tourists go to Blackpool nowadays for party weekends (often hen or stag groups), an older clientele enjoys the nostalgia of the town. The Tower Ballroom remains a global mecca for ballroom dancing.
