Everyone from theatre goers to music lovers will find something to keep them entertained when they take a train to Darlington.
This stunning 896-seat Edwardian theatre hosts a mixture of musicals, dramas, comedy, opera and pantomimes. Over the years, it’s played host to some of the biggest names in entertainment, including Tommy Cooper, Vera Lynn and Mickey Rooney – and it remains a popular venue with touring productions to this day.
Darlington Arts Centre is one of the region’s top arts venues. The Myles Meehan Art Gallery located here hosts local and international art exhibitions and there’s also varied programme of events to enjoy, including film screening, workshops and dance and music performances. Entry to the gallery is free.
Every night is different at the bustling Forum Music Centre, where you can catch gigs from up and coming musicians, as well as film, club and comedy nights.
