Why take the train to Haymarket?
Haymarket is a popular area of Edinburgh that sits just west of the city centre itself.
Many commuters call the district home as Edinburgh is well served by trains to Haymarket, and the area surrounding the station is packed with bars, pubs, shops and restaurants that are usually packed with members of the local community and sightseers alike.
Haymarket also draws in plenty of tourists as it's the nearest station if you want to take a train to Edinburgh Zoo, Murrayfield Rugby Stadium or Murrayfield Ice Rink - attractions that drawn in thousands of visitors each year.
