Why take the train to Kents Bank?
Villages don’t come much more sleepy than Kents Bank, which lies on Morecambe Bay – there’s just one small shop and post office to serve the entire local community!
Keen walkers often take the train to Kents Bank to follow the trail up to nearby Kirkhead Tower, a Gothic style summer house believed to be built on the site of an ancient church. Or to explore Humphrey Head, a limestone outcrop that stretches out to the bay.
You can stay overnight in Kents Bank at the Abbot Hall Hotel, a former family mansion dating back to 1840.
From 1st April 2016, services to this station will be operated by Northern.
