Our beach is a gorgeous stretch of golden sand, and it is right next to the train station, so pulling in you can enjoy a fantastic view. It's a traditional British seaside spot, so you'll find everything you'd expect nearby - cafés, ice creams, candy floss…
Waltham is a fully restored working windmill that sits proudly just outside Cleethorpes. The site also has a fascinating rural life museum where young ones can learn about local history, a miniature railway, play areas and a railway carriage ice-cream parlour. So there's plenty to do here!
People travel to Cleethorpes specifically for Steels, which does the best fish and chips around. Found on Market Place, it's not to be missed, and has a superb menu that caters for all tastes. For me, it's haddock and chips every time.
Cleethorpes Coast Light Railway
Young and old alike will enjoy a trip on the charming light railway, which stretches two miles along the coastline. It's also home to one of the smallest pubs in the world, the Signal Box Inn, where you can enjoy a range of rather nice ales and ciders.
If you're looking for high-octane family fun, look no further than the Pleasure Island theme park. There are white-knuckle rides for thrill-seekers and more sedate options like animal shows for younger ones.
