Why take the train to Roose?
Roose – also sometimes known as Roosecote – is a suburb of Barrow-in-Furness. The local economy was built on mining and, today, Roosecote Power Station and Rampside Gas Terminal provide employment for many locals.
Our trains to Roose station provide both a vital business link and a convenient way for residents to travel further afield – see our train timetables page to plan your journey.
And, if you’re passing through, be sure to visit the pretty Roose Cottages, which were built in the 19th century for the tin miners.
From 1st April 2016, services to this station will be operated by Northern.
