Is as old as the hills, and you can feel it oozing from the walls when you stand inside. Some of the stained glass is modern, but it doesn't detract from the air of age.

Once a stately home, now rather dilapidated; but the room in which the infamous Mary Queen of Scots was imprisoned for 14 years is still intact. Today you can explore the site and follow the trails and see the full story in the Discovery Centre.
