Why take the train to Thorne South?
The market town of Thorne is situated on the Doncaster to Cleethorpes line. As you might have guessed, there are actually two stations serving the town: Thorne North and Thorne South.
There are lots of brilliant reasons to take a train to Thorne. The monthly Farmers’ Market is a popular attraction, and the Thorne Memorial Park is a lovely place to take a stroll on a summer’s day (especially when one of the free brass band performances is taking place). There’s also Bunting’s Wood and The Peatlands Way, which are great fun to explore if you’re a nature lover.
