Culture Vultures
Is a wonderful example of elegant architecture designed by
Mackay Hugh Baillie Scott in the 19th Century. There's also
furniture and art exhibitions for your viewing pleasure.
Potter's enchanting tales are brought to life in this museum
with plenty to see and do. You can rest in the Tailor of Gloucester
Tearoom, before stocking up on Peter Rabbit goodies.
On the outside there are beautiful Thomas Mawson gardens and an
adventure playground. On the inside are exhibitions of outdoor
photography, painting and writing.
Was home to the artist and influential social voice, John
Ruskin. Now preserved as a museum, you could spend hours
contemplating the house itself, the interiors, the garden and the
gallery.
Is not only beautifully spellbinding because of its history and
stunning Windermere location; it also has a gallery of fantastic
art exhibitions. If you're lucky you might catch some live poetry
too.
Beatrix Potter's famous dwelling is preserved so well that it
feels as though she's just nipped out for a walk. Her original
watercolours are on display at the nearby Beatrix Potter
Gallery.
