Comfortably sitting somewhere in between country pub and modern
gastro, the drunken duck has deliciously tempting wines and award
winning real ales brewed in it's own brewery.
Art house cinema that's split over two sites, one next to
Zeffirelli's Restaurant, the other down the road in a converted
church. There are regular live music evenings too.
Nestled in the Troutbeck Valley since 1689 and holding breath
taking views of the surrounding fells, it's perfect for tucking
yourself away from the rest of the world.
For the real ale connoisseur there's a bar full of cask ales,
some brewed at the on-site micro brewery. Don't worry if you're not
though, there's still plenty to tempt your taste buds.
Rest those weary, hiker's feet and warm those weather beaten
noses in front of the log fire. Get comfy, as the night draws in
and the dram flows you'll abandon all thoughts of leaving the
Lakes.
This antiquarian pub has been around for donkey's years and we
reckon the walls have heard a good few rambler's tales over the
decades.
