What’s Happening at Cleethorpes?
- There’s loads more room with 4,000 more seats per week between Cleethorpes and Sheffield, and most services will run as either three or four-carriage trains
- Two-carriage trains will only run in the late evenings
From Sunday 18 May, many of our services changed with the launch of our May 2014 timetable, bringing improvements that provide better connections and faster journeys between major cities in the north of England and Scotland, not to mention extra seats and more choice for you when travelling with us.
What are we doing?
We’re introducing a brand new super shiny fleet of electric trains into service between Manchester and Scotland, with 90,000 more seats each week across all our services from May.
Many of our services between Liverpool, Manchester, Leeds and Newcastle are faster on average, including more frequent services, which means more choice and flexibility for you. Many peak-time trains will also improve, with more seats and services timed to get you into work before 9am. And that's not all. For instance, did you know...
