Alexandra Park (13th-14th August)
From its roots as an impromptu procession through one of the city’s neighbourhoods, the Manchester Carnival has grown into the North West's largest celebration of Caribbean music and carnival arts.
Join the Carnival route as it weaves its way from Alexandra Park and prepare to be mesmerised by the vibrant singing and dancing, steel bands, amazing costumes and mouth-watering Caribbean food too!

Bolton (26th-29th August)
A whole world of food, fun and family entertainment lands in Bolton this August Bank Holiday. The food and drink festival will feature cooking demos from celebrity chefs like John Torode and showcase the best of the region’s grub with over 180 artisan traders ready to serve up a delicious lunch.

Manchester city centre (26th-29th August)
Manchester Pride's annual celebration of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender life comes alive during August Bank Holiday weekend. The city’s world famous Gay Village plays host to The Big Weekend, which will feature live performances and brilliant nightlife.
Fun is available throughout the day too, with a parade taking place through the city on Saturday 27th August.
