More Christmas markets than you can shake a candy cane at? It’s got to Bee Manchester…
It’s impossible to think of Winter in Manchester without the Christmas Markets. This year you’ll find more than 300 beautiful stalls and chalets at 9 locations across the city, selling handcrafted jewellery, leather bags, clothes and toys.
And if you’re serious about your food and drink, consider this your spiritual home. Choose from traditional bratwurst smothered in ketchup, hog-roast and even paella, followed by sweet crepes and chocolate-covered fruit. Christmas calories don’t count, right?
If the Christmas chill gets too much, you can always take refuge at Manchester Arndale. Not only will you have tons of places to stop for Christmas shopping, but Santa is also setting up shop and will be welcoming visitors to his grotto right up until 24 December. If you’re short on time, pre-book your spot to see the main man.
Calling all Dancing on Ice wannabes! The ice rink returns to Cathedral Gardens for another Christmas in the city. Located between the National Football Museum and the Corn Exchange Christmas Market, the rink is the perfect place to skate around and soak up the festive cheer. And if you’re feeling more Bambi than pro ice skater, you’ll find some handy rink penguins on hand to prop you up.
