Siop Shop in Manchester

Nestled in the popular Northern Quarter is this cool café which also doubles up as one of the best places to buy doughnuts in Manchester. Siop Shop sells both vegan and non-vegan treats, with a range of varieties to suit every kind of craving.

This Manchester favourite is particularly well-known for their creative flavour combos, from coconut and caramel to poppy seed and lemon curd. There are also several more classic options up for grabs – think strawberry jam fillings and simple glazes with just a dash of sprinkles.

Dukes Donuts & Coffee in Leeds

If you live in the Burley area of Leeds (or you’re planning a visit to nearby Kirkstall Abbey) make sure you put Dukes Donuts & Coffee on your agenda. The Leeds doughnut shop has been around for several years and is the go-to for doughy desserts.

Dukes’ is known for creating huge, delicious doughnuts. Popular picks include the shop’s Lotus Biscoff doughnut, the Brownie Deluxe and the Peanut Butter Jelly. And if you need even more decadence in your life, you could order an ice cream sundae featuring plenty of cream, fresh fruit and syrup.

And Dukes recently opened a smaller branch in the heart of Leeds City Centre. Find it on New Briggate, just round the corner from The Merrion Centre. You can also arrange delivery or collection if you’re ordering up a big batch of doughnuts as a gift.


The Kilted Donut in Edinburgh

With its charming Scottish name, you can expect big things from this Edinburgh-based doughnut shop. You’ll find it on Great Junction Street in Leith and it prides itself on using all-natural ingredients when creating its scrumptious homemade doughnuts.

The Kilted Donut has a rotating selection of doughnuts for sale every week, with staple flavours including jam, vanilla and cinnamon sugar. More outlandish options include pecan pie, cannoli, espresso and cranachan – a Scottish dessert that blends meringue, raspberries and oats with a dash of whisky. You could even go for a savoury doughnut like Fiery Cheetos which is topped with Scotch bonnet sauce and crushed Cheetos!

Glazed Handmade Donuts in Newcastle

If vegan doughnuts are more your vibe, this Newcastle venue should be right up your street. It’s located on the eastern edge of Jesmond and all of its tasty treats are completely plant based.

As well as classic glazed doughnuts in vibrant colours, you’ll also find a huge range of flavoured options with yummy cream fillings. Tempt your tastebuds with a Lotus biscuit doughnut or go for something fruitier like sumptuous strawberry shortcake or yuzu matcha. Glazed Handmade Donuts also sell delicious coffee with a choice of plant milks, making it a great place for both a sugar and a caffeine fix if you’re vegan. Or even if you’re not.


Baltic Bakehouse in Liverpool

While this Liverpool bakery doesn’t exclusively make doughnuts – its main specialty is actually homemade sourdough – it still always has a lovely selection of them to choose from.

Baltic Bakehouse sticks to a fairly traditional recipe, selling sugar dusted doughnuts with a range of different cream fillings. Look forward to soft and fluffy homemade doughnuts filled with blackberry cream, vanilla custard, raspberry jam or chocolate ganache.
