With its charming Scottish name, you can expect big things from this Edinburgh-based doughnut shop. You’ll find it on Great Junction Street in Leith and it prides itself on using all-natural ingredients when creating its scrumptious homemade doughnuts.

The Kilted Donut has a rotating selection of doughnuts for sale every week, with staple flavours including jam, vanilla and cinnamon sugar. More outlandish options include pecan pie, cannoli, espresso and cranachan – a Scottish dessert that blends meringue, raspberries and oats with a dash of whisky.
