Get your skates on – and more - in Scarborough this festive season

Scarborough’s festive centrepiece this year is a fantastic town centre ice rink.

Located just a short walk from the railway station, the rink will be open from 3 December to 2 January.



There’s no need to have previous experience on the ice.

There will be dedicated facilities for visitors with mobility issues, including wheelchair users.  Younger skaters* will be able to use fun skate aids in the shape of a penguin to perfect their skills. 

There will also be relaxed skating sessions if loud music and flashing lights aren’t your thing.

The rink is being supported by many local businesses who are offering discounts to anyone who books a skate session.

Elsewhere, there will be festive fun events taking place in Scarborough town centre on the first three weekends of December including music, cultural events and creative activities for the children.

The Love Exploring app will also have a Christmas-themed trail for visitors to follow to help them discover everything that Scarborough has to offer.
