TransPennine Express (TPE) is delighted to welcome visitors to Cleethorpes Railway Station and has some important advice for those attending to the event between 24th and 26th June 2016.
Customers should allow extra time to travel and are advised that there will be a queuing system in place at the station.
TPE will be putting on extra carriages, where possible, but have a limited number of trains available. With this in mind, extra buses are being provided to ensure people can travel home from the event.
Customers are also reminded to check before they travel, especially when it comes to planning their journey home.
Kathryn O’Brien, Customer Experience Director for TPE said:
“We are delighted that Cleethorpes is hosting this year’s National Armed Forces Day and along with our rail industry partners, we will be doing all we can to carry customers to and from this special event.
“Train services will be very busy throughout the weekend and we have put on extra carriages and replacement coaches, where possible. However, services will be very, very busy and I would urge people to allow extra time to travel.
“Finally, we look forward to welcoming customers from all over the country to Cleethorpes Station and we hope they enjoy the weekend’s activities.”
To mark this very special occasion, our station will be decorated with banners and we will have additional volunteers in place to help.
Those in need of a little extra help or assistance can also book ahead at: tpexpress.co.uk/contact-us/assisted-travel-form
The train company will also be handing out free bottles of water to customers.
