Our app is the ultimate travel buddy; book tickets, check live train times, and more.
This development will provide customers with an extra three months to buy the cheapest fares, making family adventures and fun-filled trips easier to plan and more affordable.
Extended bookings can be made across all TPE routes, which includes destinations such as; Newcastle, York, Hull, Leeds, Sheffield, Liverpool, Manchester, Edinburgh and Glasgow.
Tickets from Glasgow or Edinburgh to Manchester Airport are available for as little as £11.90 one-way while a single fare from Leeds to Manchester Airport could cost just £7.20.
This change will also make things more convenient for those heading to Manchester Airport, who will now be able to leave their car (and stress) at home and travel in comfort with no need to worry about traffic jams, dodgy sat navs or parking fees.
TPE has recently invested £50k in enhancing the waiting room at Manchester Airport station which now has comfortable sofas and an improved seating area featuring a workstation with plug sockets for those wanting to use their laptop or charge their phone.
Darren Higgins, Commercial Director for TransPennine Express said:
“We’re committed to providing value for money fares for our customers and hope that this development will give even more people the chance to get a great deal and guarantee themselves a seat.
“Those who are already planning a cheap-as-chips autumn getaway will be able to book their tickets now and travel in style and likely on one of our fully refurbished trains, which are being treated to a £32 million makeover in the next year.”
Customers can save more than 50 per cent when they book early with zero booking or credit card fees.
