One of the most exciting ways TPE are supporting the charity is by specially decorating a train. The train has been given a Superhero makeover and is now out and about on the TPE network, travelling right across the North and into Scotland until June to promote Cash for Kids and the work they do all year round to help vulnerable and very ill children.
TPE are also supporting by donating 25p from every TPE ‘print at home’ ticket transaction to this fantastic cause. So far, over £1,900 has been raised, and it’s hoped more will be raised before the big day itself on May 5th.
TPE volunteers will be donning their buckets and superhero costumes to fundraise for the charity on May 5th, and even Felix the Cat will be getting involved by selling Felix soft toys and colouring books online for the charity. Keep your eyes peeled on Felix’s Facebook page to find out more!
Charlie French, TPE Transport Integration Manager, said:
"This appeal makes a huge difference to families across the North and I'm thrilled that we are able to help. 25p from every TPE 'print at home' ticket transaction will be donated to the appeal, and our special Super-train will raise awareness for the charity. Our staff will also be volunteering to shake buckets on May 5th”.
