Travelling between Middlesbrough, York and Scarborough this Bank Holiday weekend (25 - 26 May)? Train services are expected to be very busy due to a number of major events taking place.
A series of different music and sporting events happening at the same time including: Radio 1’s Big Weekend taking place in Middlesbrough, Malton Food Lovers Festival and York Races.
Stations and trains across Yorkshire and Teesside including York, Middlesbrough, Scarborough and Malton and are expected to be very busy as people make their way to and from these popular events.
We will have all our available carriages out in service over the weekend as well as extra members of staff on hand to support customers. Those travelling are urged to check before they travel and allow extra time.

It’s great that such fantastic events are taking place across our communities and we hope that people have a great time.
“We will have all our available carriages out and in use over the weekend however despite this, services will still be very, very busy and customers should check before and allow extra time to travel”
