Train operator TransPennine Express (TPE) has received Visit Britain’s ‘We’re Good to Go’ accreditation, an award given to businesses that provide a Covid-safe environment for their customers.
From the beginning of the Pandemic, TPE have worked hard on a variety of measures to keep trains safe for customers. On-board there has been an enhancement in the amount of cleaning done, with members of the Train Presentation team focusing on areas that people are more likely to touch, whereas on stations there has been the introduction of hand sanitiser points for customers and labels encouraging social distancing.
Alongside this TPE have been looking to help promote the areas served by their services through Social Media staycations, showing the best of what’s on offer from a variety of destinations across the North of England and Scotland.
Lisa Hewitt, Partnership Marketing Manager for TransPennine Express said: “We are delighted that we have gained the ‘We’re Good to Go accreditation from Visit Britain. This is the culmination of a lot of hard work across our business and we’re grateful for their hard work in helping us gain this accreditation.
“Covid-19 has been very challenging for everyone and it has required many different teams to come together to ensure that our customers can travel safely with us. This acknowledgement from Visit Britain will hopefully boost customer confidence in TPE and enable many more people to go out and explore what the North of England and Scotland has to offer.”
