Changes to train times (1)
A local train company is advising customers that from Sunday 22nd May 2011 there will be a number of changes to train timetables.
First TransPennine Express (FTPE), which operates services across the north of England and into Scotland will be amending its timetable to give passengers improved choice and provide additional capacity.
Posters and revised timetables have been issued to stations and customers are being encouraged to check the details of their journeys as departure and arrival times might have altered slightly.
Services on FTPE's south route, connect Manchester Airport with Sheffield, Doncaster and Cleethorpes and there will be a number of revisions to departure and arrival times.
FTPE services from Cleethorpes, calling at Grimsby, Barnetby, Scunthorpe, Doncaster and Sheffield will on weekdays from Monday 23rd May depart 2 minutes earlier at xx26 every hour. These services will arrive into Doncaster at xx38 providing a 7 minute connection onto London and Leeds bound services.
Services for Cleethorpes will leave Doncaster 5 minutes earlier than at present.
Edith Rodgers, FTPE's Customer Services Director commented on the changes;
"Some of the departure times have changes and whilst we have provided posters at stations and new timetables we are urging passengers to check the details of their journey before they travel."
The amended timetable will be in operation from Sunday May 22nd until Sunday 10thDecember 2011.
