Laterooms.com and TransPennine Express announce new partnership
Online accommodation site and intercity train company launch affiliate partnership offering seamless trip bookings.
Online accommodation site, LateRooms.com, has announced its partnership with intercity train company, TransPennine Express (TPE). The new affiliate partnership means that customers looking to book rail tickets can seamlessly combine their booking with hotel accommodation for more than 14,000 hotels in the UK.
Steve North, Senior Affiliates Manager at LateRooms.com, comments: “As a fellow travel company, focused on making the UK even easier to explore and enjoy, working with TransPennine Express is a perfect match for LateRooms.com. With exceptionally strong hotel product in TransPennine Express’ destinations, our partnership will provide another way in which we can help to make booking stays around the UK even more convenient and simple for customers.”
The announcement comes following the first stage of the partnership, in which people will be able to add a hotel to their booking after purchasing their rail tickets from the TPE site. For example, for people looking at Manchester as a destination, they’ll have the option to look at all the relevant accommodation options in the city.
By clicking the ‘destinations’ tab on the TPE home page, visitors are taken to a list of locations where all destination information is listed – from shopping to top attractions to hotels in the area. From there, it’s just a simple click to view all of the accommodation options in the area and make a booking.
Lisa Hewitt, Partnership Marketing Manager for TransPennine Express commented; “We are thrilled to have teamed up with such a well-known and popular brand as LateRooms.com.
“This new development will make it even easier for customers to conveniently book both their travel and accommodation for a weekend getaway to one of the great destinations we serve, whether it be sightseeing in Edinburgh, shopping in Leeds or visiting an exhibition in Hull.”
