Gilberdyke lies 16 miles west of Hull, close to the hamlets of Bennetland, Hive, Sandholme and Scalby. The centre point of this quiet village is the Methodist church, which you’ll find is just a short walk from the station.
Many people take the train to Gilberdyke so they can visit the popular Gilberdyke Garden Centre. This huge indoor and outdoor centre isn’t just for the green fingered – there are clothing and gift sections, too, as well as a great restaurant where you can take a break from all that shopping!
