Leyland is surrounded by beautiful South Ribble countryside, so it's a great place to visit if you enjoy the great outdoors. And just on the outskirts of the town lies Worden Park, 150 acres of stunning parkland that you could easily while away a whole day exploring.
There's also plenty of historical sights to discover in the town itself when you take a train to Leyland. The Leyland Cross, which stands on the junction of Towngate and Church Road, is thought to date back to Saxon times, while St Andrew's Parish Church was built around 1200 AD - you can find out more about the area's history at the South Ribble Museum.
