On the backdrop of Morecambe Bay, the Eric Morecambe Statue is one of the town’s most popular attractions. Unveiled by the Queen in 1999, the statue depicts Eric Morecambe in one of his characteristic poses, attracting people from far and wide to have their photo taken alongside it. With regular trains to Morecambe, you can see it for yourself.
The Morecambe Winter Gardens opened as The Victoria Pavilion theatre in 1897. Whilst performances ceased in 1977, the theatre that’s situated on the resort's central promenade, overlooking Morecambe Bay, has hosted a variety of events in the past few years.
