Travel advice for Friday 28 April 2017click here
On Friday 28 April 2017 conductors employed by Northern (who are members of the RMT union) have planned industrial action.
Although TransPennine Express services will be running as usual, Northern will be running a reduced timetable which will no doubt have a knock on effect on TransPennine Express services.
We are working with Northern to provide the best possible service across The North, but we do expect our services to be much busier than usual and this could cause delays to some journeys.
Please allow extra time where possible to complete your journey.
If you have an Advance Purchase ticket for travel on Friday 28 April (marked as TPE & connections) where part of your journey requires travelling on a Northern service either to connect with a TransPennine Express service or to complete your journey then you may travel on Thursday 27 April or Saturday 29 April 2017 without having to make changes to your ticket.
You should attempt to travel as close as possible to your original booked time but because you are travelling on a different day, your seat reservation will no longer be valid.
