Northern Strike

Impact on TransPennine Express services

On Monday 13 March 2017 conductors employed by Northern (who are members of the RMT union) have planned industrial action.

Although TransPennine Express services will be running as usual, Northern will be running a reduced timetable which will no doubt have a knock on effect on TransPennine Express services.

We are working with Northern to provide the best possible service, but we do expect our services to be much busier than usual and this could cause delays to some journeys.

Please allow extra time where possible to complete your journey.

Further information is available at www.northernrailway.co.uk/industrial-action

If you have an Advance Purchase ticket for travel on Monday 13 March (marked as TPE & connections) where part of your journey requires travelling on a Northern service either to connect with a TransPennine Express service or to complete your journey then you may travel on Sunday 12 March or Tuesday 14 March 2017 without having to make changes to your ticket.

You should attempt to travel as close as possible to your original booked time but because you are travelling on a different day, your seat reservation will no longer be valid.
