May Bank Holiday Weekends

Engineering work will be taking place on and around our network over both May Bank Holiday weekends. 

Anyone planning to travel by train is encouraged to plan ahead, check before they travel and follow the guidance provided.

Early May Bank Holiday
On Saturday 1 May, our trains will not run between Oxenholme and Edinburgh/Glasgow and a replacement bus service will be in place. 

On Sunday 2 May, our trains will not run between Bolton and Edinburgh/Glasgow and a replacement bus service will be in place.

On Monday 3 May, our trains will not run between Carlisle and Edinburgh/Glasgow and a replacement bus service will be in place. 

On Sunday 2 and Monday 3 May, our services in and out of Liverpool may be busier than usual due to engineering work taking place nearby. 

Late May Bank Holiday
On Saturday 29 and Monday 31 May, our trains will not run between Carlisle and Edinburgh/Glasgow and a replacement bus service will be in place. 

On Sunday 30 May, our trains will not run between Oxenholme and Edinburgh/Glasgow and a replacement bus service will be in place.

On Sunday 30 May, our trains will not run between Sheffield and Doncaster and Scunthorpe and Cleethorpes. A replacement bus service will be provided.
