Train Repairs

A Message from Kathryn O’Brien, Customer Experience Director

Dear Customers,

A number of our trains are currently under repair which means we have to operate some with less carriages than usual, which we know is not ideal.

The repairs are needed for a few different reasons. Recently, we sadly hit two horses on our Anglo-Scottish line which as you can imagine caused extensive damage. This weekend, we have had two cracked windscreens as a result of hitting birds on our South route. These incidents, coupled with autumnal conditions where wet leaves on the line cause damage to train wheels, mean that a number of our trains are now under repair at the depot.

Rest assured, our engineering team is working hard to get these trains back into service as soon as possible, however this may take some time.
