First and last trains to and from Liverpool

The last TransPennine Express train from Liverpool Lime Street to Manchester Victoria is around 23:00, with the final train to Manchester Piccadilly close to 23.30. If you’re making the journey in the early morning, you can hop on a TransPennine Express train to Piccadilly at 06:14 and Victoria at 05:20.

Travelling in the other direction, the first train leaves Piccadilly at just after 06:00 and Victoria just before 06:00. The last train to Liverpool from both stations leaves at between 22:00 and 22:30.

If you’re travelling to Leeds from Liverpool, the final direct train is just after 21:00 and the first is 05:20 whilst the last train to Sheffield from Liverpool Lime Street is 22:19. The final direct train from Liverpool to Newcastle leaves Lime Street at just after 21:00.

The main hub for train travel in Liverpool is Liverpool Lime Street station, with direct services to Manchester Victoria and Manchester Piccadilly, London Euston, Leeds, York and Newcastle.

There are two car parks at Liverpool Lime Street station offering close to 300 parking spaces.

You’ll find a short stay car park on Skelhorne Street and a long stay on Lord Nelson Street. Parking in the short stay for up to 20 minutes is free, while an hour is around £4.60. Leaving your car in the long stay car park will cost you £11 for up to five hours, while overnight parking (18.00 to 06.00) will set you back £7.50.

The main station in Liverpool is Liverpool Lime Street, with all of our Liverpool TransPennine Express trains terminating here. The station is right in the centre of the city within walking distance of many of the top attractions including the World Museum, Albert Dock, the Cavern Club and Liverpool Cathedral.
