Car Parking

At all our car parks, up to 20 minutes parking is free. Any vehicle remaining in the car park for more than 20 minutes must have a valid parking payment session in place at all times.

Tariffs apply 24 hours per day, 365 days per year.

The daily rate applies for each separate date or part thereof, and expires at midnight on the day of purchase; or at midnight on the final date of validity if more than one day is purchased. Weekly, monthly and other period season tickets expire at midnight on the final date of validity.

The 24 hour tariff is valid for 24 hours from the time of purchase.

The requirement to have a valid paid parking session in place starts immediately after the expiry of the 20 minutes free parking.

You can pay the parking tariff by downloading the APCOA Connect app onto your phone from either the Apple Store or from the Google Play Store. This is the quickest and easiest way to manage your parking session. 



You can also pay on the website (without downloading the app) at www.apcoaconnect.com, or you can pay by phone by calling the automated payline on 01895 262122. You will need to have your bank card, car park location code and vehicle registration to hand. Please note, you may be required to send a confirmation text with your vehicle registration in order to validate your parking session. 

Finally, you can pay the parking tariff at the station ticket office, during ticket office opening hours only. (This doesn't apply at Barnetby or Seamer, as these stations do not have a ticket office). 

Please note the requirement to have a valid paid parking session in place starts immediately after the expiry of the 20 minutes free parking, and one of the alternative payment methods mentioned above must be used if the ticket office is closed. If you are unable to use any of the available methods of payment, you should leave the car park before the end of the 20 minute period of free parking. 

If you are unable to pay the tariff via the app, website or phone you can pay the tariff at the ticket office when it is open (except at Barnetby and Seamer, as these stations do not have a ticket office). There is no need to display a parking ticket in your windscreen, the payment is linked to our digital systems (the same used by the APCOA app and phone line). 

Tariffs can only be paid at the ticket office when it is open. If the ticket office is closed, you must pay the tariff using the APCOA website or app, or by calling the automated phone number. 

Daily, 24 hour, weekly and monthly tariff can be paid at the ticket office. Annual season tickets cannot be purchased at the ticket office. 

Tickets much be purchased before the end of the 20 minute period of free parking. 

No. Blue Badge Holders can park for free, however they must display a valid Blue Badge in the windscreen at all times. 

In addition, at the following car parks; Brough, Hull, Northallerton, Middlesbrough and Thornaby, we use ANPR to monitor parking. ANPR is unable to read Blue Badges, therefore, in order to avoid receiving a parking charge, Blue Badge holders need to register in advance at these car parks to benefit from free parking.

Normal tariffs apply to unregistered Blue Badge Holders at Brough, Hull, Northallerton, Middlesbrough and Thornaby car parks.

All our car parks have accessible dedicated Blue Badge bays which can be used by Blue Badge Holders only. 

We offer weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual season tickets through the APCOA Connect app and www.apcoaconnect.com

Enterprise Car Club allows you to hire a car from a TransPennine Express station or an on-street location to drive whilst paying an hourly rate. For more information, check the Enterprise Car Club website.

We have Car Club spaces at Selby, Scarborough, and Malton stations. They are located within the main station car parks and the spaces are clearly lined on the ground with green markings and “Car Club” wording. There is also a sign at the front of the space noting the parking restrictions that apply.

If the space is obstructed when you come to return the car, please park your Car Club vehicle in the nearest available space in the same car park. You do not need to pay for parking for the Car Club vehicle.

You cannot use the complaints procedure to make an appeal relating to a parking charge. If you have received a parking charge and wish to appeal, please follow the instructions further down this page.

You will need the full Parking Charge Number (which starts with TPEPCN), and the vehicle registration number available, in order to make payment. 

Note that paying a Parking Charge will remove your ability to subsequently make an appeal. 

In the first instance, you MUST make your appeal to us. If you believe the parking charge was issued in error or you have mitigating circumstances, you should appeal to us first. If you are not satisfied with our decision, then you can appeal to the Independent Appeals Service. 

All correspondence relating to appeals must be in writing.

NOTE: We are only required to deal with an appeal from the subject of the parking charge or their appropriately authorised representative. 

All appeals must be received within 28 days (beginning with the dat after that on which the Parking Charge is issued).

Yes. If you have already made an appeal to us, and you are not satisfied with our decision, you can then appeal to the Independent Appeals Service (IAS). 

The IAS will not review or adjudicate any case unless an appeal has first been submitted to, and considered by, us. 

Important note regarding mitigating circumstances: The IAS will not make decisions on mitigating circumstances. The IAS makes their decision purely on the lawfulness of the parking charge.

Our car parks are private land, and terms and conditions apply: 

• Parking Tariffs Apply. Any vehicle remaining on site for more than 20 minutes must have a valid parking payment session in place at all times. 
• At Brough, Hull, Northallerton, Middlesbrough and Thornaby car parks Blue Badge permit holders must be registered with us in advance in order to be exempt from parking tariffs. Normal tariffs apply to unregistered Blue Badge holders. A valid Blue Badge must also be displayed clearly within the windscreen at all times. All other terms apply. 
• At our other car parks, Blue Badge holders do not need to register to be exempt from parking tariffs, but a valid Blue Badge must also be displayed clearly within the windscreen at all times. All other terms apply. 
• A full and correct vehicle registration must be entered when making payment. 
• Vehicles must be parked wholly within the confines of a single marked parking bay and in accordance with all other signage on site. 
• Some bays may be marked for Permit Holders, Blue Badge Holders, Car Club Vehicles, Motorcycles, Staff, Taxis, or Short Stay Use only. Marked bays may only be used by vehicles which comply with the relevant signage and conditions on display. 

Breach of ANY of the terms and conditions will result in the driver being liable for: a parking charge of £100*

By entering or remaining on our land you agree to abide by all of the terms and conditions. 

Parking charges are to be paid within 28 days. Non payment will result in a collection fee of £70*. Additional parking charges apply for each 24 hour period, or part thereof, that the vehicle remains in breach, or if it returns at any time. Terms and conditions apply 24 hours a day, all year round. The driver shall be liable for any outstanding charges, collection fees, interest, and costs on an indemnity basis. Where any statutory basis exists for any monies due under this contract to be recovered from anyone other than the driver, they too shall be recoverable on an indemnity basis.

No liability is accepted for loss or damage howsoever caused to any person or property whilst on the site save under statutory exceptions. 

For parking charges, the creditor is: TransPennine Express Trains Limited, Registered in England and Wales with Company Number 12544930. 

Notice: Railway Byelaws apply in respect of any vehicle contravening traffic signs, and for any vehicle left in any manner or place where it may cause an obstruction or hinderance. Contravention of Railway Byelaws can constitute a criminal offence. In accordance with Railway Byelaws, any vehicle may be removed and stored if it is causing an obstruction, or if doing so is necessary to deal with an emergency; to allow access to persons or vehicles to enable maintenance of the railway to be carried out; or to enable the safe and efficient operation of the railway. 

Personal data in the form of registration number, photographs of you and your vehicle may be obtained to ensure compliance with your obligations when entering on to our land. Automatic number plate recognition, CCTV and body worn cameras will be in use. The data may be retained for enforcement purposes. Where a parking charge becomes due, an application may be made to the DVLA for the keeper's details to allow notices to be sent through the post.
