Felix the cat, senior pest controller for TransPennine Express (TPE) trains, who lives at Huddersfield Train Station has predicted that Huddersfield FC will win their first three Premier League games.
Felix, who regularly greets football fans from all corners of the country throughout the season was given three bowls of identical food, labelled with a Huddersfield emblem; ‘draw’; and the emblems of Huddersfield’s first three opponents.
The famous cat, who has more than 120,000 fans on Facebook and her very own book deal, made her predictions on the platform of Huddersfield station this week, prophesising that Crystal Palace, Newcastle United and Southampton would all lose to the Terriers.
Andrew Croughan, Huddersfield Station Manager, said: “Felix is part of the TransPennine Express family and has become famous in Huddersfield. She regularly greets the fans making their way to the John Smith’s Stadium and so we thought we would get her to predict Huddersfield first three games.
“The first prediction was tense as we could see her debating whether to eat from the draw bowl. Luckily for the fans of the Terriers she ate from the Huddersfield bowl for all three scenarios so David Wagner’s men look as though their getting off to a flying start!”
The odds of Huddersfield winning all three games currently stands at 41/1, however, with Felix’s latest prediction, it looks as those odds are set to tumble as punters cash in on her fortune-telling talent.
