Why take the train to Salford Crescent?
Salford Crescent station is just a short walk away from Salford Museum and Art Gallery, where the main attraction is Lark Hill Place, a faithfully recreated Victorian street scene. As well as permanent displays like this, this fascinating museum hosts changing exhibitions and events, and is also home to the Local History Library.
Take a train to Salford Crescent and you can also explore nearby Peel Park, one of the city's oldest public parks which sits on the bank of the River Irwell. The station also serves the University of Salford.
