Our timetables are uploaded to online journey planners 12 weeks in advance.
Any events or planned engineering work for track maintenance and infrastructure upgrades are shown approximately 12 weeks in advance.
Links to the full timetables can be found below.
During unplanned disruption, our timetables can change at short notice. Please use Journey Check before setting off on the day of your journey.
From 17 May 2026, our timetable is changing. Some of our usual service times will be different, so please check your journey before travelling, especially if you travel early in the morning, late at night, or on routes into and out of Manchester, Yorkshire, and the North East.
Key changes
New hourly overnight service between Manchester Piccadilly and Manchester Airport, supporting shift workers and international travellers. Some existing trains from city‑centre stations will be extended to the Airport.
Scarborough line: services depart one minute earlier from Scarborough and Seamer, with minor retimings to improve reliability. Some Summer Sunday trains strengthened to six coaches.
Cleethorpes–Manchester Airport/Liverpool: small timing changes around Manchester Airport and to Scunthorpe/Cleethorpes services.
Edinburgh–Newcastle (Borders): Extra summer services will run between 3 August and 4 September.
York–Huddersfield–Manchester (Sundays): minor changes to early‑morning services, including an additional through train via Slaithwaite, Marsden, Greenfield and Mossley.
Engineering works: Regular midweek evening blockades between Heaton Lodge Junction–Stalybridge and via Micklefield will mean planned diversions and some replacement buses. Please check journeys after 22:30.
