Proms at Sage Gateshead

Between 21-23 July, Sage Gateshead are working in partnership with BBC Proms to deliver the first ever weekend-long Proms festival in the North East.

BBC Proms at Sage Gateshead will include six extraordinary concerts across three days, showcasing music made in the North East.

These performances have been carefully curated to capture the essence of BBC Proms in a single weekend.

This year Sage Gateshead will join the Royal Albert Hall as the home of live broadcasts of the BBC Proms.

The line up contains something for everyone. With classical, jazz and pop superstars including Self Esteem, Yazz Ahmed & Arun Ghosh, Reginald Mobley & Baptiste Trotignon, and Sage Gateshead's choirs, Chorus of Royal Northern Sinfonia and Voices of the River's Edge, all set to play. Royal Northern Sinfonia, the orchestra of Sage Gateshead, perform three times over the weekend. Families with little ones can look forward to CBeebies Ocean Adventure performed live to an orchestral score.
