Did you know you can book train tickets up to 24 weeks before you travel? Book tickets as early as you can and save over 50%*.
Unlike some other providers, TransPennine Express won’t charge you any booking or credit card fees, so it always pays to book train tickets direct with us.
Whilst we call the North and Scotland our home, we can book trains for travel anywhere in Great Britain, even if it's not on the TransPennine Express network.
Get a guaranteed 1/3 off train tickets with a railcard. Available for 1 or 3 years, there’s a railcard for nearly everyone – students, families, jobseekers and more, so you can get where you want to go for less.
If you have a Nectar card, register it when you buy train tickets online with us and you'll get 2 points per £1 you spend. You can also get 200 points for a monthly Season Ticket and 2,500 points for an annual Season Ticket.
Train ticket prices vary throughout the day, so if you're flexible with what time you can travel, choose your train based on which offers the cheapest train tickets.
We promise that you cannot buy a publicly available ticket for a TransPennine Express train journey cheaper anywhere else online. In the unlikely event that you do, we’ll refund the difference.
On the day – upgrade your Standard Class ticket on any TransPennine Express service on Saturdays, Sundays and Bank Holidays with our Weekend First. The price is either £10, £15 or £20 per person one-way depending on the distance you’re travelling.
Please ask the conductor to find out how much the upgrade is for your journey.
