Our app is the ultimate travel buddy; book tickets, check live train times, and more.
Our train timetables will change on 10 December 2023, along with the rest of the National Rail network.
The new timetable will include some temporary amendments, including some small reductions to services between the north west and north east of England to deliver improved punctuality and reliability to our services.
The changes will allow room for training, which will release train crew, trains and network capacity to enable us to continue to address our training backlog and develop diversionary route knowledge in support of The Transpennine Route Upgrade.
The changes made from the December 2023 timetable will also provide the foundations and resilience for the December 2024 timetable.
You can use the timetable comparison tool below to get an idea of how the December timetable changes may affect your journey.
Enter your station, choose a weekday or weekend timetable, and click “Check trains”. You will see the current timetable side by side with the new December timetable. You can click or tap on the services to see the calling points and times, so you can check for changes that will impact you.
Please note this tool shows TransPennine Express services only and does not show services which operate between midnight and 02:00.
This tool is for timetable comparison purposes only. Services shown are subject to change if there are engineering works or disruption, so we recommend to still check before you travel using JourneyCheck or National Rail Enquiries.
