PICK UP / DROP OFF at the station
From Tuesday 10th July 2018, Manchester Airport introduced a charge for dropping off at the airport by the entrance to the rail station. Further details of the charge and alternative pick up / drop off points are available here
Help Points are available on all platforms to contact a member of our team in an emergency or for information when the ticket office is closed. When using the Help Point our CCTV will be monitoring your position for the duration of the call.
Railway staff will assist customers arriving by train from their train to Station Assistance Point 1, near the front of the station. If onward assistance is needed, for example to an airport terminal, customers will need to contact their airline directly to arrange this.
The accessible toilets are located at platform level, behind the lifts, at the end of Platform 2, these toilets are operated by a radar key. There is also an accessible Changing Places facility located behind the lifts, at the end of platform 3. This is also accessed using a radar key.
This station is category A. Step free access is provided from the Ground Transport Interchange to all platforms via lifts or ramps. This station is staffed for all services. There are train boarding ramps available at this station, and they are also carried on board all TransPennine Express trains.
Please be aware that some platforms at this station have no or only partial tactile paving on the platform edge.

Smartcards are available from the ticket office, and can be topped up there or using the ticket machine.
The Ticket Office is located on the station concourse, behind the escalators to / from the airport terminal.

No cycle storage
Rail Replacement bus services depart from stands L and M of the adjacent Bus Station which is situated close to the ticket office.
The nearest taxi rank is at Terminal 1.
