During the upcoming weekend engineering work, rail replacement coaches and buses will depart from Memorial Gardens on Leeman Road.

This is an approximate 10 minute walk from the station entrance. Please follow the green signs and posters or use what 3 words ///tools.round.grass to find the bus stop.

Please note, this only affects buses during planned engineering works. Any replacement transport recruited during live service disruption will be located at the usual advertised location outside of the Milner Hotel (exit the station and turn left). Station teams will also be able to advise if the location has been amended for any reason.

When arriving for booked or turn-up-and-go assistance, the meeting point is the Customer Information Point on the main concourse. Staff are available to provide Passenger Assist at all times that trains are operating for customers who have booked or who travel as turn-up-and-go. Assistance is available both to board/alight trains and also navigating around the station.

No level access to National Rail Museum via platforms 10/11, exit at front of station and around Station Hotel.

Staff can deploy station ramps at all times when trains are operating through this station to help customers who need step-free access board any train at this station. Where in circumstances beyond our control station staff are not available, on train staff can deploy the on board ramp if necessary.

Closure of long stay car park from 15 March 2025

From 23:59 on Friday 14 March, the station long stay car park will be closed until further notice.

This is part of the York Station Gateway Project, where Network Rail will construct a new multi-storey car park on the site.

Parking for blue badge holders will be unaffected. All other users must find alternative facilities and allow extra time for travel. For other locations visit York.gov.uk/CarParks.
