Newcastle International Airport boasts excellent transport links connecting passengers from the Airport to the City Centre. The Airport lies in the heart of the North East and is an extremely accessible regional airport. The Tyne and Wear Metro system serves 60 stations across Tyneside and Wearside, and can get passengers to Central Station in less than half an hour. The Airport also has a number of sufficient bus links with Nexus.
TransPennine Express offer a combined train and Metro ticket to Newcastle Airport. With regular services into Newcastle from Durham, Darlington, Edinburgh, Leeds and York just connect with the Metro for your onward journey direct to Newcastle Airport.
Passenger can explore the range of shops located in Newcastle Airport’s departure lounge – including the famous World Duty Free. Here customers can high-end goods with a tax-free reduction. The Airport also has its own spa, where passengers can relax and be pampered before taking to the skies.
There are plenty of different bars and restaurants to choose from at the airport, including the swanky Cabin Bar, the healthy Naked Deli, Caffe Ritazza and the delicious Quaystone Bar and Kitchen. Many of the airport’s catering outlets serve locally-sourced produce and tailor to any dietary requirements.
There are three hotels located within walking distance of the Airport terminal. These are the DoubleTree by Hilton, the Britannia Hotel, and the Premier Inn. All of the hotels offer different price packages and cater to the needs of any passenger.
