Be part of Manchester's colourful urban gardening festival this August

After the success of last year's Dig The City event, Manchester's green-fingered residents are all set for another week-long celebration of urban gardening.

Dig The City will take place from 3-11 August, and will see the city centre taken over by colourful flower shows, events and flower markets. Colour lovers will be bowled over as the festival engulfs the city. While last year's event was focused on the cathedral, this year's Dig The City will invigorate surrounding streets as well. Meanwhile, professional workshops will give outdoor types tips on everything from beautiful blooms to how to get more from their allotments. Visitors can also look forward to a jam-packed roster of entertainment, music and a gourmet food market to boot. To see this incredible spectacle or to take part in some bulb planting, head to Manchester from 3-11 August.
