On the train

Current travel advice

During your journey by train please follow this guidance

  • Protect others. Please wear a face covering so that your nose and mouth are covered. Government advice on face coverings.
Face coverings are MANDATORY when travelling on all forms of public transport. You are also required to wear a face covering in and around the station as transport hubs come under the same requirements as retail outlets.
Please be considerate of others, hidden disabilities or medical conditions may mean that not everyone can wear a face covering. There are some exemptions including babies, children under the age of 11, people with disabilities and those with breathing difficulties. The sunflower lanyard can be worn by customers who may have a hidden disability and are not able to wear a face mask. Sunflower lanyards can be collected from a TPE ticket office.
  • Anyone who isn't wearing a face covering and isn't exempt could receive a £100 fine from the British Transport Police.
