Working with trusted local suppliers, our TransPennine Kitchen menu brings you fresh, flavoursome dishes that celebrate the communities you'll be travelling through when you travel with us. 

What's on the menu?

Our TransPennine Kitchen menu is packed full of delicious dishes from across our region and, depending on the time of your journey, you'll be able to enjoy breakfast or all-day options. Here's a look at what's available on board: 

• Breakfast favourites from buttered crumpets and breakfast rolls to an indulgent Eggs Benny. There's also porridge pots and a granola and fruit pot too. 
• Our Slow-Cooked Beef Shin & Pale Ale Stew is a hearty, winter warming dish and perfect for those cold, frosty days.  
• If you want a little heat, our Sweet Heat Bagel with halloumi and chilli jam is the ideal pick me up option. 
• The Original Baker, based in Malton, Yorkshire, are the suppliers of our fantastic Hot Honey Sausage Roll. 
• Our ever-popular Cheese Selection is also on the menu, serving up a slice of regional cheeses which you can enjoy with sourdough crackers and apple chutney. 

Alongside all of these, you'll also find freshly brewed tea and coffee, a range of soft drinks and juices as well a range of alcoholic options after 11am. On our West Coast you can try our Wyersdale Whistle Pale Ale, brewed at Lancaster Brewery whilst over on our Coast to Coast you can taste our Northern Monk TransPennine Pale Ale, brewed by Leeds based brewery, Northern Monk.

Proud to support local businesses 

We work closely with farmers, bakers, brewers and makers in the regions we serve. By using ingredients sourced in the North of England and Scotland, we reduce food miles while supporting those businesses closest to us. This ensures our meals on board are not only delicious but are rooted in the places you'll see through the train window! 

Important information

Our catering service typically runs Monday-Friday: 07:00-18:30 and Saturday-Sunday 09:00-18:30. We do aim to offer the full advertised menu but the availability may occasionally vary. 

All our pre-packaged items display allergen information on the wrappers and/or cans. Hot dishes are covered by our allergen matrix, with full ingredient breakdowns. Vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options are also available.
