Working with trusted local suppliers, our TransPennine Kitchen - West Coast menu brings you fresh, flavour dishes that celebrate the communities along our West Coast Main Line.
Our TransPennine Kitchen West Coast menu is packed full of delicious dishes from across our region and, depending on the time of your journey, you'll be able to enjoy breakfast or all-day options. Here's a look at what's available on board:
Breakfast favourite from buttered crumpets and breakfast rolls to belgian waffles with a fruity compote.
Tuck into a Scottish Smoked Goats Cheese & Prosciutto Sourdough Pizza Boat for a creamy indulgent treat.
If you're after something a little lighter, enjoy our Mexican Smoky Chipotle & Black Bean Burrito Bowl.
Pie Demand, based in Carlilse Station are the bakers of our crowd pleasing Proper Pie Duo.
Sweet treats and desserts including cakes and biscuits made by local businesses along our route.
Alongside all of these you'll also find freshly brewed tea and coffee, a range of soft drinks and juices as well as a range of alcoholic options after 11am, including our exclusive Wyresdale Whistle Pale Ale, brewed by Lancaster Brewery specially for TransPennine Express.
We work closely with farmers, bakers, brewers and makers in the regions we serve. By using ingredients sourced in the North of England and Scotland, we reduce food miles while supporting those businesses closest to us. This ensures our meals on board are not only delicious but are rooted in the places you'll see through the train window!
Our catering service typically runs Monday-Friday 07:00-18:30 and Saturday-Sunday 09:00-18:30. We do aim to offer the full advertised menu but the availability may occasionally vary.
All our pre-packaged items display allergen information on the wrappers and/or cans. Hot dishes are covered by our allergen matrix, with full ingredient breakdowns. Vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options are also available.
